Right to freedom of religion and belief

According to international law, ‘everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion,’ which includes ‘freedom to have or to adopt a religion or belief’ as well as the freedom to manifest one’s ‘religion or belief in worship, observance, practice, and teaching.’ It also includes freedom from coercion concerning one’s chosen religion or belief, and the freedom not to profess any religion or belief' (ICCPR, Part III, Article 18; Human Rights Committee General Comment 22, paras 2, 5).

In 2022 HRMI measured freedom of religion and belief in a small number of countries as a pilot project.

The short answer is that this sometimes happens when we convert our statistical calculations into scores from 0 to 10, and it doesn’t mean anything special.
